Reflection

While writing the presentation itself, there was a lack of a clear goal in the beginning and just started to form during the presentation. Confidence is still ambiguous and the product statement does not help fully envision what the product will do. It just lists what it the goals of the product are and what it hopes to accomplish, but not a clear “workflow” or possible solutions. The presentation was largely presenting an idea and lacks enough data to back it up.

Gaps

  • In need of primary research to back up claims and become more “personal” (develop empathy).
  • Have some ideas to present so that there can be feedback on what I plan to do next.
  • Need some clear persona with a clear storyboard
  • Need to define the product statement better and create possible workflows

New Questions

  • Is this device a take-home device?
  • Is it going to be a tactile product or something else?
  • Will it be with the patient at all times?
  • When does the journey stop and end for this particular problem?
  • How will you address the issue of communication between the doctor/nurse and the patient within a physical form?
  • If it is a take-home device will this give updates and notifications? What are all the functions? How many benefits does it have?
  • Will it be with the patient during sessions with the doctor? Will it record and be similar to abridge?
  • Is this something that the patient can use and not have to rely on their family members?

Next Steps

  • Flesh out the product/problem statement.
  • Generate ideas (just dump ideas to get feedback on and an idea of direction I want to take)
  • Get some interviews
  • Create multiple workflows
  • More research on the difficulties of healthcare information and communication between the patients and the doctor/nurse.
